POWER & LOVE MINISTRY TOUR UPDATES 2025

DAY 1

Sunday, September 14, 2025

Church Service at Jordan Alto

Isabell was anointed, and the crowd loved her. She preached on, “Love has a name, and it’s Jesus.” Worship was lively with many young people in the congregation. When the service was over, the people had time to visit and pray with the travelers. One traveler prayed with two people for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Tomorrow morning Isabell ministers to the team for their first morning ministry time together, then they will join the local YWAM team for more outreach opportunities.

DAY 2

Monday, September 15, 2025

The team had their first morning worship meeting. After praise and worship, Isabell taught on power and love from 2 Timothy 1:7.

Then they headed out to YWAM. Bob and Magda, the local YWAM leaders, welcomed the team and shared about the facility (JOCUM). Their story of how they met and were called into this ministry is powerful and full of amazing faith

After orientation, the team was treated to a nice lunch cooked by the staff on campus of JOCUM. Some of the students and staff joined them, and they had time to mix with local people. After some free time walking around the property, they divided into three groups.

One group went to prayer walk around the town to meet local families and pray for them.

Another group went to a school on the campus and attended a presentation by the principle who shared a long history of the Christian school, currently preschool through 12 years old. The team prayed over the great need for finances and sponsorship of students.

The last group went to a soccer camp lead by Thomas, the team videographer.

Tonight, the majority of the team will go out for a nice dinner at a Brazilian restaurant. Thomas and Isabell will be leading a small group to go out into the streets looking for kids who are on drugs and live on the streets. This is what Isabell did seven years ago and it had a lasting impact on her. They will all join up again tomorrow morning for a second morning worship and teaching time.

DAY 3

Tuesday, September 16, 2025

After a wonderful breakfast, the team met for their second day of worship and a time of teaching with Isabell. Worship was sweet, with an emphasis on welcoming the Holy Spirit. You could feel the anointing and unity on the team.

Isabell taught from Isaiah 55:8-9, “Why is this happening? Poverty, sex trafficking, sickness and disease. Why? We have to be spiritually mature. God is above all and has the big picture. God perfects that which concerns us!”

Next, they went back to the JOCUM base. One of leaders from the soccer club, which is a mix between soccer and discipleship, gave his testimony. He came from a terrible background of drugs and street crime, went through the program, and is now a leader. He also had one of his disciples share, who is now a missionary working in the same program. Fruit that bears fruit.

DAY 4

Wednesday, September 17, 2025

After breakfast, the team met for prayer, praise, and teaching. They split into two teams. One group went to local schools to pray over students and the other stayed on the base and helped with yard work, cleaning, and painting. The YWAM staff blessed the whole team with a musical dance performance and a delicious lunch. After lunch and some fellowship, the team got back to work around the base. Then they headed back to the hotel to clean up and pack. Tomorrow, the team flies to Rio for the next leg of the trip.

DAY 5

Thursday, September 18, 2025

Today the team enjoyed a quick breakfast and were off to the airport, going to Rio. After landing, they boarded a bus and met their new tour guide for the remainder of the trip. A short bus tour later and they were on their way to the Copacabana Arena Hotel.

The group went out to a buffet for dinner with a variety of local Brazilian food including sushi.

That evening they went to a Brazilian dance show full of costumes, singing, and dancing. Some of the travelers were invited on stage to dance with the performers. After the show, they returned to the Arena hotel for some needed sleep.

Throughout every aspect of the trip, the travelers were in tune with the Holy Spirit and looked for opportunities to bless and minister to those they met.

DAY 6

Friday, September 19, 2025

Today was a busy and full day. They started with a visit to Christ the Redeemer sanctuary. On the way, Isabell led them in prayer and the tour guide shared interesting information and history. They took a tram up 3,000 feet where could either take escalators or walk to the top. The steps totaled over 200. At the top, many took pictures of this Wonder of the World and some took time to pray.

After that experience they took a tour of the coast, passing by the beautiful beaches and stopping at one to have fresh coconut water. The team went to a Brazilian steakhouse for lunch. The travelers enjoyed the buffet with its many options and were treated to various grilled meats, served tableside, by attentive waiters. They then visited the Selarón Steps, the famous tiled steps of Rio.

Next, they traveled by bus to Sugarloaf Mountain. After two cable car rides, they arrived at the top of this majestic mountain. They were treated to amazing views of Christ the Redeemer and the yacht club, just to name a few. The travelers had time to shop, get a snack, and take pictures. They also took a group picture at the top.

The evening ended with some free time for the travelers to have dinner or walk around the beach and shops near the hotel.

DAY 7

Saturday, September 20, 2025

Today the team headed on a two-hour bus trip to Petroplolis, a city 2,900 feet above sea level where the emperor used to live.

Their time on the bus was filed with praise and worship, and a teaching by Isabell.

Upon arriving in Petropolis, they toured a museum that was once the palace of Peter the 1st and Peter the 2nd, emperors of Brazil. (Unfortunately, photos were allowed so we have no pictures.) After the tour, they stopped for lunch and a little shopping, then started the two-hour bus ride back to Rio.

The team had their celebration dinner this evening and people had time to share testimonies about their experience and spend one last meal together before the journey back home.

This has been an awesome trip. The team was excellent, and many friendships were forged. God did many great things through this special team of travelers, and Brazil now has a special place in each of the travelers’ hearts. Several asked when the next trip is happening!

Tomorrow morning, they leave for the airport at 2:30 a.m. to board their first flight for the journey home.
